Cancun Airport is one of the most important Airports in all of Mexico. Here’s what you need to know before your vacations.
Cancun Airport Terminals
The Cancun Airport is composed of three terminals.
Terminal 1 was the first terminals here and it is mainly used for private planes and freights.
Terminal 2 at Cancun Airport belongs to national flights and some international flights too.
Terminal 3 is used for International flights only, which means that you’ll either arrive and depart through terminal 2 (if you have another flight to board at say, Mexico City, before flying back home or to Cancun) or terminal 3 if your flight is directly from your city of origin to Cancun and viceversa.
Facts about the Airport
The airport is roughly 19kms away from the heart of Cancun city. It takes less than 30 minutes to arrive to the hotel zone. Transportation to and from the Cancun Airport is quite easy to find too.
